Construction Update OCTOBER 2025

Construction is well underway! We are pleased to share further details of the activities on site over the past 90 days.

Piling Works

The piling stage is now complete, and the piling rig has left the site. This critical part of the basement retention system involved drilling and constructing more than 60 piles around the basement perimeter, each reaching depths of over 14 metres through high-strength rock. The rock conditions proved stronger than initially anticipated, and combined with machinery breakdowns, this stage took several weeks longer than expected.

Capping Beam & SHOTCRETE

The capping beam around the entire basement perimeter is complete and, as bulk excavation works progress, shotcrete to basement walls has started and installation of pile bracing.

Tower Crane Installation

The tower crane was successfully erected early October.

Bulk Excavation

Our bulk excavation and earthworks contractor has commenced work on-site, with excavation down to basement level 1 complete (basement is 3 levels deep). It is anticipated that bulk excavation works will be ongoing to the end of the year (Dec 2025/Jan 2026), however timing will dependent on weather delays and the ground conditions/rock encountered.

Once complete we will then start to see structure being constructed coming back out of the ground.

Utility Connections

All required works for Energex connection have been completed with Energex installation of transformer and connection of permanent power to the site pending. Water and sewer connections in the verge are continuing in parallel.

Construction Program Update

Although we lost some time in the program because of the longer than expected drilling time for piling, as well as several lost days due to weather, we may be able to gain some of that back within upcoming works in the program, weather dependent. We will be able to provide a further update on estimated completion once the basement earthworks are complete, however we are targeting third quarter 2027 for practical completion.
